UNIRICE LIC /Japanese Okinawa Onigiri is one of the food courts & halls listed in Long Island City, New York. The business is registered at 27-17 42nd Rd Apt C3, Long Island City, NY 11101; use this page to check its hours, phone number and Google rating before you make the trip.

These businesses tend to have short hours built around lunch and early dinner rather than late-night service, so checking the listed hours before heading out in Long Island City saves a wasted trip. Seating is often limited or first-come, and many locations lean toward takeout or delivery rather than dining in. Prices are generally lower than full-service restaurants in the same category, which makes this group a reliable option for a fast, inexpensive meal across New York. Portions can be smaller at food-court counters than at a stand-alone restaurant, so ordering two items is common for a full meal. Many of these businesses are independently owned even inside a shared food hall, so hours, accepted payment methods and whether a counter takes online orders can differ from stall to stall within the same building.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 11 am–9 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (646) 778-1778. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is uniriceusa.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.7 out of 5 from 133 reviews, which is a strong result for a food court in Long Island City and suggests consistent service.

Long Island City is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Long Island City is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Service was super fast and quick. Food was yummy. Miso was super hot. Got the shrimp tempura and teriyaki beef combo set. Definitely want to try more things from this place.

Located in the food court, I loved that this is a “quick eats” option. Quick to receive my order, though I did come around 3pm.

Came to LIC food hall for a snack and got a Unagi Uni rice from here which also came with a miso soup. Can’t say there was anything particularly special about the onigiri other than that, the Unagi was really soft, but it was a little bit too sweet for me. The rice texture was good as well, but I don’t know if I would visit again to pay the same amount. The miso soup was very tasty and the packaging was very cute!

So the girl that always works there is always so rude to me and lies to me about things they have when I obviously see it with my own eyes but I let it slide . I don’t like negativity and made my onigiri wrong like I wouldn’t notice. I’m a black female and I walk in there and I’m treated like I got 20 heads. 1st time I went the people that work there was laughing and talking about me but I didn’t care cause the guy that was there was treating me wrong too but he made my onigiri to perfection which is the only reason y I came back. 2 nd he wasn’t there. When I went back to my car and saw what she slapped together for me I didn’t care to come back and I won’t. I thought Asians love black people. When I served in the military that’s what i learned . Guess I was wrong. The energy that the female gives me the 2 times I went rude , misty, and disrespectful. Makes me feel I’m not wanted and I shouldn’t be there cause the color of my skin. Idk what else reason it would be to be treated so .

Nestled in LIC food hall, this spot specializes in rice sandwiches. I got their curry croquette in a meal combo with one of their honey drinks and chicken karaage. Overall, I felt that it was alright. The food was good but definitely over-priced and I'm not sure if it's worth trying.
